A new bill is to be signed by the government of Greece that will enable the relocation of the Regency Casino Mount Parnes from its current location on Mont Parnitha, according to G3Newswire. While the bill will allow the casino to move closer to Athens, operation of the venue will still not be permitted within the boundaries of the City of Athens.

The hotel began to operate under the aegis of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, but its limited success led to changes in management throughout the 1960s.
The situation changed in 1971, when the Cypriot entrepreneur, Frixos Dimitriou, created a casino to operate alongside the hotel. Most distinctive amongst them is Synthesis (1961) by Yannis Moralis, which hangs in the casino’s new reception area.
